Announcements
Please be informed that the Goods & Services Tax (GST) will increase from 7% to 8% from 1 January 2023 onwards. The GST rate at 8% will be imposed on payments and transactions made on or after 1 January 2023.
Due to the above transition, the Subscription Fee for January 2023 will be billed into Members’ Statement of Account on 1 January 2023.
For members on GIRO arrangement, January 2023 and February 2023 subscription fees shall be deducted on 28 February 2023.
NOTE: Orchid Country Club and Aranda Country Club, in December 2019, joined the NTUC Club family, which includes other subsidiaries such as NCI Golf Pte Ltd (Marina Bay Golf Course and my golf kaki). To strengthen our offerings and provide more relevant products and services to you, we may share your personal data across NTUC Club and its subsidiaries for the purposes set out in our updated Privacy Policy, effective as of 30 July 2021.
Starting from 19 December 2021 (Sunday), the $8 walker fee will be imposed on evening 9-Hole walkers playing on either Vanda or Dendro.
The $8 walker fee is only cost recovery for our lightings which are switched on for the last 3 holes from tee to green and manpower cost as a Marshal is deployed to follow the last flight and comb to ensure that no golfers are left behind. Rest assured that the Club has made every effort to keep fees to a minimum even though we continue to face increasing operating cost, such as rising electricity tariffs.
Charging of walker’s fee is not new and currently, being practiced at other Golf Clubs such as Seletar Country Club, Warren Golf and Country and Laguna National Golf & Country Club etc.
The Club seeks Members’ kind understanding on the implementation of walker fees.

Dear members,
The Club continually review its processes, alongside the feedback we received from members, so as to bring golf to a wider pool of members, while maintaining a sustainable financial position.
To this extent, we will be introducing the following changes:
Limit Private Events to 2 Per Week
We thank members for your understanding that the Club holds private events to supplement the Club’s revenue, in order to maintain and upkeep the golf courses in pristine conditions.
With that and other initiatives, OCC has managed to keep its members’ monthly subscription fee to one of the lowest amongst Golf Clubs in Singapore. Our last increase was 10 years ago in 2012.
The number of private events held in OCC in 2022 is lower than that during pre-Covid 19. For example, in Aug 2022, we had 3 private events as compared to 10 in Aug 2019 and 12 in Aug 2018. In Sep 2022, we had 10 private events as compared to 13 in Sep 2019.
However, we have heard your feedback and will limit the number of private events (excluding Club organised events which are for our OCC Members to participate) to maximum 2 per week.
At the same time, when there are private tournaments at OCC, we will offer OCC members some slots to play in MBGC and you pay green and buggy fees according to your membership status in OCC. For example, OCC Golfing Gold members only need to pay buggy fees.
Revision to Booking System – 100% Balloting and Restriction of Play
To improve the chance of securing a golfing slot for a wider pool of members, we will be revising the booking system as follows:
a. 100% Balloting
We will be shifting to 100% balloting.
Members can submit their bookings at their own pace within the stipulated timeframe via Google Form. The booking schedule remains unchanged i.e., Weekday bookings open daily from 9am to 12pm, Weekend bookings open on Fridays from 12pm to 2pm and Public Holiday bookings open 8 days in advance from 12pm to 2pm.
b. Restriction of Play
The Club will re-introduce the play restriction of 3 games a week, regardless whether it is a weekday, weekend or Public Holiday game. The restriction of games worked well in the past and had allowed more members to play. This will apply to 18 hole games (AM, PM and Night Golf) only.
100% balloting and restriction of play will take effect from 7 Nov 2022 (Mon) for weekday play on 17 Nov 2022 (Thu).
For members who have tried to book but unable to secure any booking under the 100% balloting system for one month, golfing office will monitor and allocate a flight so that members can get to play at least once a month.
Please refer to Full Balloting Terms & Conditions.
9 Hole Rate due to Inclement Weather
With more unpredictable weather, we will allow golfers’ charges to be amended to 9 hole rates if they have played less than 3 holes on the timesheet due to inclement weather, starting from 1 Nov 2022 (Tue). Hopefully, this will ease the pain slightly for you, who cannot get to play the full 18 holes.
We seek your indulgence to let these changes settle in for a period of time. Golfing office will continue to review and take in members’ feedback, and adjust measures when necessary.
