Green Initiatives

As part of our sustainability efforts, here are some initiatives that we have introduced:

1) Water Dispensers

These have been installed in the golf changing rooms and at the buggy bay since March 2025 to help reduce the use of bottled drinks. Golfers can now easily refill their water bottles before or after their game! There’s even a safety feature when dispensing hot water for your peace of mind.

2) Solar Panels

Installation works for solar panels began in early January 2025 and have since been completed. The whole installation process was carried out in stages, moving between the different clubhouses in OCC. With the completion of the solar panel installation, OCC will reduce its reliance on conventional electricity sources and move towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy solution. This initiative not only supports OCC’s commitment to green practices but is also expected to bring long-term cost savings on energy consumption.

3) Rain Harvesting System

In addition to the rainwater harvesting pond at Aranda 6, another pond was built near Aranda 5 in March 2023, designed to collect and store rainwater. This initiative helps reduce our reliance on raw water drawn from reservoirs by providing a sustainable source of water for golf course irrigation. It’s a practical step toward more environmentally responsible water management within the club.
